Question for Soldo and those providing CBD for their hounds
One of mine is getting on now, 11 in November, becoming more anxious bless her
Minded that previously Soldo talked here of the revelation in the famed black lab, I want to give it a spin
Any advice on brand, sourcing etc
Thanks in advance

Re: Question for Soldo and those providing CBD for their hounds
Thank you everyone for the words, I'll take a look from here

She has from first sight been a cracking dog and totally adored by all, she has had a good life but become increasingly anxious around certain noise
Initially fireworks but now, if I so much as pick up an extension lead she becomes uneasy, power drills, hand tools and especially the power washer send her, so I wondered about the benefits of CBD
As a foot note, she had to take a visit to the vets yesterday, dodgey tail gate, nothing terminal but sore none the less, another reminder that the clock is ticking

Finally, Soldo, I feel for you, best wishes to you and your mut, I'm sure that you will do the right thing and as a suggestion, if I may, consider clearing everyone out and having the vet come to you, better your lad sees his last in his home and calmly rather than a vets surgery

Fella, WHO is absolutely rampant with cunts hence not posting this on the site, but ‘when the time comes’, I have every sympathy with you. Having lost a pet/companion that’s more like a member of the family (it’s happened to me a fair few times) I honestly and sincerely wish you and the hound all the best.

Crass... the brand we used was called Power Plant... was from Holland... he's off it now .... hardcore Loxicom and anti inflammatorys... back in June looked like it was his last day... this has given him a bit more time.... but think we are talking days/weeks.... still gets out for a 10 min stroll wobble in the morning but his back legs are pretty fucked... had him collapse a few times eating... oh the daft sod still carries on scoffing... anyway... when we saw him as a day old pup if we could have had the 14 years we have had with basically fuck all a matter with him apart from some arthritis then i would have taken that..

Re the CBD... we found it's great for the first few months... then the body gets used to it... and it levels off.... but all in all its been great for ours

Dogs and Thailand on the same thread.
Soldo’s gonna jizz in his pants when he sees this.

Not sure if it's relevant, but I believe Thailand has effectively legalised cannabis for medicinal use and, given that SE Asians are pretty good at spotting a marketing opportunity, somebody there may be able to make a few suggestions with regard to the treatment of pets.

You don't need any specific cbd oil for dogs, all you need is full spectrum guaranteed quality.
The stuff from Holland & Barrett is expensive and appeared to be no more than remnants of a night befores bong water, but it seemed to chill my old dog when he was near his end days.

For humans or dogs there's Rick Simpson's which is renowned for its absolute quality but due to various reason's (mainly that it's proper) needs a bit more effort to find and purchase in UK.

I can only imagine dog versions are weaker/diluted.
There can, in theory, be varieties that focus on pain/anxiety etc, but you'd really need to produce your own and most anxiety is caused from early harvests of unripened fruits and unlikely to be the culprit in CBD oils.

I've heard good things about Blessed CBD from people that ought to know https://blessedcbd.co.uk/cbd-oils/
I've only ever tried a few brands when friends had them or when I got some for my dog, the effects are very hard to detect as it's the sedative component without the psychoactive compounds, and most brands are isolate, and seem diluted at that.

For humans, I'd imagine it's a good way to get off the weed and help sleep at night free from the night terrors.

Start low dosage and work up.

One drop on a dog treat is all that's needed, and usually dogs will let you know when they like a medicine or not.
